*What grade do you teach? I am privileged to teach kindergarten!
*What is your favorite memory while working at Calumet? I couldn’t possibly pick just one memory. Every day is such a unique experience with my class. I am NEVER bored!
*What is something unique about yourself? I don’t know how unique I am, but I love teaching young children, watching them grow and learn new things everyday and being silly with them.
*What are 3 of your favorite things? The sound of a child laughing, peanut butter, and working out are just a few of my favorite things.
*What would you like to tell the students at Calumet? I am so proud to be a part of your life.

How many years have you been at Calumet? I have been teaching 12 years, but I have been at Calumet for almost 16 years.
What grade/classes do you teach? I teach 4th grade- all subjects except music and P.E.
What is your favorite memory while working at Calumet? How everyone helps each other out because we are one big family.
What is something unique about yourself? I can read multiple books at the same time and keep the stories straight.
What are 3 of your favorite things? Three of my favorite things are my family and friends, my dog, Duke, and I love to read.
What would you like to tell the students at Calumet? I want to tell the students that I miss them. I miss seeing them and hearing their stories. I can’t wait to see them all!

*How many years have you been at Calumet? 5 years living in Calumet. I have been working for Calumet Schools for 3 years. 1 year as a sub and 2 years full time!
*What is your job description? Teacher's assistant. I have been in 3rd, 2nd and 1st grade.
*What is your favorite memory while working at Calumet? To many to name just one, but I love how the staff gets so involved with anything fun for the kids, the staff is always going above and beyond to make it special for the kids.
*What is something unique about yourself? I can play the piano, not super well but I know a thing or two about it.
*What are 3 of your favorite things? Music, photography, and my cows. 🐮
*What would you like to tell the students at Calumet? You all are awesome! Every one of you! You all make coming to work fun.

I'm blessed to have some of the best students I have ever taught. Their love and kindness makes me smile daily. I'm miss them dearly and can't wait to give them all a big hug!

Third Grade had their final Zoom meeting today. We met in our PJ’s and brought our favorite snacks. We did a guided drawing for Mother’s Day, told our favorite jokes, and completed a scavenger hunt. This isn’t how we wanted to say goodbye, but I think they are excited for summer nonetheless! 🤍🎊

*What grade so you teach? Second Grade
*What is your favorite memory while working at Calumet? When teaching Music it was designing, building and having students perform for the Haunted House. We had too much fun scaring people! Exhausting, but very memorable!
*What is something unique about yourself? My great grandfather was a preacher, my grandfather was a preacher, my father was a preacher, and now I’m married to a preacher. My students will say, “We can tell, you’re a little ‘preachy’ in class!”
*What are 3 of your favorite things? Spending time with family, playing the piano, and taking in the sun.
*What would you like to tell the students at Calumet?
Covid-19 of 2020, We will all remember this year! (Whether we want to or not.)If you missed your prom,graduation,or something else meaningful,I‘m hurting for you. I am grieving for what we lost, but remember you have a wonderful life ahead, a promising future, and many more memories to make. Make the most of your tomorrows!
