We had 12 4-H and FFA members attend the NOC Sheep Judging Field Day yesterday. For many of them it was their first livestock judging contest! Highlights include: 🏅5th Place Junior 4-H Team! Team members include Teagan Winter, Merritt Major, Tabor Winter and Coen Taylor! 🏅Teagan was 5th High Individual! Also, big thank you to Tanner and Sam Winter with Winter Feed and Livestock for letting us practice on a couple of hog classes yesterday afternoon.

Four of our members attended the 6th session of the FFA Alumni Leadership Camp last week outside of Binger. They spent 3 days meeting other FFA members from across the state, while learning how to better serve their community and chapter.

🥎🚨Attention all 6th-12th grade Calumet Softball Players 🚨🥎 There will be a parents meeting with Coach Nichols Sunday, July 14th at 6PM in the Elementary Cafeteria. In the meeting parents will receive a calendar for July/August, a schedule for the fast pitch season, and be able to ask coach Nichols any questions they might have over the upcoming school year/season. Athletic Physicals (Free) Tuesday, July 16th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm High School Building All JH and HS athletes must have a physical to participate in an athletic program Athletes must pick up Physical forms and required OSSAA forms before the day of the physicals. Forms can be picked up in HS office Mon - Thur from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Forms should be filled out and signed by parent/guardian and brought with the athlete to turn in on the day of the physicals

Family Wellness Week info: We will be offering sports physicals, screenings, immunizations and vaccinations, and family activities for Back to School! Children must have an IHS chart to receive sports physicals and other IHS services. Families need copies of their CDIB and proof of residence to set up a chart with IHS. This is open to all community members and enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe.

The OSSAA Dead Period runs from June 29th through July 7th. All athletic facilities will be closed to athletes and coaches during this period. More info is available on the school website.

Monday, June 3 - Baseball Camp has been moved to the Indoor Facility west of the fields.

Huge congratulations to Payton Barnes and her beloved horse, Bunny, for advancing to the NHSRA in Rock City in July! She had an incredible OHSRA finals and qualified this weekend!! We are SO proud of you, PB!!!

Mr. Major is going to start working with any kids, 3rd grade through 12th, interested in livestock judging. The first session will be this Thursday!

🎓 Our Graduation ceremony will be Friday at 7:00 PM in the West Gym. Join us in celebrating Calumet High School's Class of 2024. 🎓

We would like to congratulate Mrs. Renbarger, our elementary principal, for completing her 25th year in education this year! Fun fact- Calumet is the only school she has been at! She is a Chieftain through and through! Thank you for all you have done for us during the years!

Calumet is proud to announce that Hunter Navanick has been named to the Oklahoma Native All-State Baseball roster! Congratulations, Hunter!

About 3 weeks ago, Kross Stilley was close to 300,000 words away from hitting 1 MILLION words read! He decided to take on the challenge and this morning, he did it!!!

Dalton Belcher & Hunter Arnold have been named to the Small School West All-State Roster. Congratulations, guys!

Summer Pride will begin on May 28th, the Tuesday after Memorial Day and will end on June 27th. There is a sign-up sheet in the HS office for all who want to attend. Only grades 7th-12th will be able to attend unless you speak with Coach Nichols and he okays it. There will be two sessions. HS/JH Girls & JH Boys at 7 am HS Boys 8 am The first week will be Tuesday-Friday and all the weeks following will be Monday-Thursday.

Just a reminder that the FFA Banquet is tonight at 6pm in the new gym.

Final cafeteria bills for April and May will be mailed out on May 17, 2024. If you would like to pay the balance for April, please give me a call at 405-893-2498 or you may get on WenGage and see your child(rens) balance there as charges are put in daily. Balances will also be available the last day of school.

AND STILL. The Senior Class finished today’s Sadie Hawkins Day competitions in first place and retained the Championship! Thank you to Mr. Belcher for keeping us organized all day, and shout out to all of the teachers, coaches, and students who participated!
