🦃Kids of Character for November 🍁

The Music Room had special guest, Charlie Haag, showing high school music students how to play the bass guitar Friday.

This year, John Luke Freyman, Emmy Jo Neal, and Crosslyn Estep bravely stepped up to run for Class President. We are incredibly proud of each of them for stepping out of their comfort zones and showing true leadership at Calumet Elementary. We are excited to announce that Crosslyn Estep has been elected as our new 6th Grade President! One of the highlights of the day was when Mrs. Jech shared the results and they said, "Whatever you tell us, we have already promised to stay friends and support the winner." That’s the kind of character and camaraderie that makes our school, and these students, special. Congratulations to all three candidates—and to our newest Class President! 🎉

The 2025 Fall Food Drive will begin Monday, November 10th and end Monday, November 17th! •Items will go to the United Methodist Church Food Pantry. ⛪️ •Most needed items are listed on the flyer. •Students should take items to their homeroom teacher/ class sponsor. •The classes from both the Elementary and JH/HS with the most donations will receive a Hot Cocoa Party! ☕️

A huge thank you to Canadian Valley Technology Center for hosting our wonderful sophomores for Discovery Days this morning! They LOVED touring their two favorite programs, and over half the class already has their applications in! We love the hands-on learning offered at CV Tech, and our welding program hopefuls even got to showcase their skills! It was also amazing to see our current students shining in their programs! #Senior2028

Basketball season tips off Friday night, and we’re kicking things off with HOMECOMING!

Pack the gym and cheer on your Chieftains as our high school teams open their seasons against the Union City Tigers.

Schedule:
• JV Games – 4:30 PM
• High School Games – 6:30 PM
• JH & HS Homecoming Ceremony – following the high school games
• Homecoming Dance (Sponsored by the Junior Class) – after the ceremony

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Program 🇺🇸 Calumet Public Schools invites our community to join us in honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. 📅 Date: Tuesday, November 11th 🕙 Time: 10:00 AM 📍 Location: Calumet School Gymnasium We welcome all veterans, families, and community members to attend as our students pay tribute through songs, readings, and special presentations. Veterans are invited to eat lunch after the program. Let’s come together to celebrate and thank those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

Calumet FFA would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Pearson, Director of Artificial Insemination and Manager of the Darlington Applied Research Center at Redlands Community College, for providing our students with the opportunity to observe and learn about embryo transfer in goat production.

Thank you, El Reno Fire Department, for allowing our 4th, 5th, & 6th graders to visit the station! The firemen educated us on fire safety and then we were able to visit their living quarters, tour their largest firetruck, and even got a chance to use the fire hose! 🚒👨‍🚒 Parents, don't forget- when you change your clocks, change your batteries (in the smoke alarms)!
