Mr. Major and Mrs. Renbarger welcomed students with some rooftop holiday cheer on the last day before break. (Rumor has it a Mr. Voss elf was even seen on the roof by several students as well.)

6th grade completed Christmas Around the World in our classroom 🌎 🗺️ This was a completely student-led project and they were very creative with their research and brought yummy treats for us to try. We traveled to Fiji, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Japan, and South Africa.

🎉 Congratulations to our IXL Leaderboard Champions! 🎉 Our elementary students recently took on an IXL challenge to see who could master the most skills—and they did an amazing job! 🏅 Elementary Skills Masters 🥇 Tris Bowers – 56 skills mastered 🥈 Brooks Taylor – 49 skills mastered 🥉 Judd Nix – 44 skills mastered Our 5th & 6th graders also competed to see who could answer the most questions correctly. Also, a big shout out to Hayden Mayfield and Randi Upchego for making the girls' All Tournament team. On the boys' side, Kingston Arnold and Kaleb Thiessen made the All Tournament team, and Hunter Mayfield is the tournament MVP!

Due to the threat of cold weather, Calumet’s 80th Annual Community Christmas Pageant has been moved to the Old Gym here at the school.

Our Junior High Academic team wrapped up their season with an awards banquet on Wednesday. The team took home the third-place trophy for the Chisholm Trail Conference. Coen Taylor and Lexi Richardson earned All-Conference honors, and Coen also placed third in individual scoring.

A favorite Christmas tradition in Mrs. Jech’s class is Cocoa & Canvas! Each year, Mrs. Jech’s grandma, Carol Koehn, joins the class to lead a guided painting that students get to take home and treasure. This year marks nine wonderful years of this special tradition. 🎅🏼🎨✨
