A few 6th graders had a chance to play around with our Makey Makey gadgets that were donated by Devon Energy as part of the Cal Ripken Foundation grant. They had to test out different materials to see which would conduct the right energy to make their keyboards work. They had a blast!

The 6th graders have been hard at work the past two days as they wrapped up their first unit in reading. Their finals projects were an in-depth author study & story analysis. They completed character body bio's, one-pagers comparisons, watched a movie and took a quiz, sampled sweets they read about, and utilized a new RACE writing strategy to answer questions! Lots of hard work and learning took place... with some fun, of course!!
