Our XC runners will be participating in the Great American Relay tomorrow morning. This race is in honor of the men and women who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.
The race consists of 4 legs.
Leg 1: Mrs. Renbarger & Mr. Voss
Leg 2: JH & HS XC
Leg 3: Shawn Davis
Leg 4: Elementary XC & all the previously mentioned runners
The race will kick off on 150th street, out side of Calumet at 7:45AM. The finish line is between the elementary and high school buildings. We predict our runners will be crossing the finish line around 9AM.
We would love to have you join us at the finish line as we cheer on our runners. We are proud to have so many running in honor of such an important date.

Yesterday the Jr Class officers and Prom Committee members participated in the Geary Parade in hopes of winning the grand prize to add to their account to put on prom. They won first in their division and Reserve Championship overall, taking home $600! They put this together in four days and even had a few join the day before and the day of! Everyone enjoyed it so much.

Calumet took 36 runners to Lomega today to compete in XC. All of our athletes made us proud, and we are bringing home lots of medals!
S/O to Ryder Garrett for taking FIRST place in the JH division & to James Havener for taking SECOND in the HS division (he hopped on the bus and got started on his homework—we love to see him excel in all areas!).
Emi Wells is bringing home a 2nd place finish in the lower elementary division, and Ellis Stewart finished fifth in the upper elementary division!
As always, it’s a great day to be a Chieftain!

Our XC teams were supposed to run at Carl Albert today, but with all the rain the meet had to be rescheduled. The elementary team met after school to complete their mile! They earned a "ribbon" instead of a medal today.
Congratulations to Ellis Stewart who was our first runner to cross the finish line, beating his previous time by 15 seconds! Kyson Base and Emi Wells were right behind him- all finishing in under 9 minutes.
S/O to Asher Curtis for shaving off a full minute and 6 seconds from his mile time & to Finley Chambless for cutting her time down by 20 seconds!
All the hard work is paying off and we love to see the improvements and confidence soar!
