CALUMET PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Our PK–2nd graders had a special surprise in the library for our very first Mystery Reader! 📚❤️ Sherry Sorrels, better known as Mimi to our students, joined us to read a story. The excitement was contagious as we revealed who our mystery reader was! 🥰 Thank you, Mimi, for taking the time to share a story and make reading extra special for our students! We can’t wait for our next Mystery Reader! 📖✨

Congratulations to our September winners for Chieftain of the Month!

Our 7th graders have been diving into economics and financial literacy, learning how to make smart financial decisions and manage money in real-life situations! 💰📊 Today, we put our skills to the test with Monopoly and The Game of Life, practicing decision-making, budgeting, and managing money. We’ve also planned family vacations while staying within a budget and will work on creating a weekly family meal plan without overspending. ✈️🎲🍎 Learning about economics is more than just understanding money; it’s about developing the skills to make informed financial decisions that will last a lifetime! 💵

📸 Reminder: School Picture Retakes are Monday, October 12!

📚✨Celebrating Oklahomans Who Inspire! ✨📚 The Calumet Library is excited to showcase a special display featuring inspiring Oklahomans! We partnered with the Oklahoma Hall of Fame to borrow one of their displays and bring a little Oklahoma history and inspiration right to our students. We hope students take some time to explore the display, learn about the remarkable people who have made an impact on our great state, and feel inspired to make a difference of their own! As the Oklahoma Hall of Fame reminds us: "The Oklahoma Hall of Fame believes there are no limits to what is possible. Every day we celebrate the legacy of inspiring Oklahomans with all generations because Oklahomans are changing the world." We can't wait for our students to discover the stories of these incredible Oklahomans and be inspired by all they can achieve! ♥️📖

The 8th grade class will be selling mums on Wednesday after school at the ag shop. A variety of colors will be available. Come show your support and bring on fall!
