Free Meals for Students

From the Superintendent,

Every parent or guardian will be called on Monday morning, from 8:00-10:00 AM. We want to know how many will need assistance with breakfast and lunch meals throughout the week to feed their children. These meals are free of charge to all students 18 years and younger in the house regardless of income.

Our plan is to keep public interaction to a minimum. Our staff will be making meals for the week for each child that needs meals. These meals will need to be picked up at the North side of the Elementary building by the Cafeteria. We will have staff on site to pass out the meals to you as you drive up.

Example: if you have two students at Calumet, then you will receive 10 breakfast and 10 lunches at one pickup on Tuesday 6:00 AM-10:00 AM.

We will do this for the next two weeks, then evaluate the situation after that.

The other option of free meals applies to those that live closer to El Reno. El Reno is also feeding breakfast and lunch. Remember you do not have to be an El Reno student to get FREE breakfast and lunch. All of the meals are FREE of charge to you. You, as the parent or guardian, must pick the meals up.

The four sites open in El Reno for pick up are Etta Dale JH, Roblyer 5/6, Rose Witcher Elementary, and Hillcrest Elementary. It will be drive up & carry out (grab and go) each day. The times are 9:00-11:00 AM each day in El Reno.

Again, you do not have to be a student in El Reno to receive FREE meals. This is a great option for those who live where El Reno pickup would be more convenient. We want to make sure all students are fed each and every day.

Thank you and be ready for your call on Monday. I believe with all of us working together, we will persevere.

Thank you,
Dr. Keith Weldon
