A Note from the Superintendent

What a fast start of the new school year. The last three months have gone by very quickly. The School Board and Administration have worked diligently in putting together the best staff in Oklahoma at Calumet. Your students are being taught at such a high level with so much love, care, and the attention that is needed for each child to not just survive, but thrive in life. We as a staff are working harder to get to know each student and build that student and staff relationship that is so productive in learning. Our goal has and always will be to make every child succeed at the highest level of his or her ability. Not only having an amazing staff, we are using the technology that has been provided to enhance learning every way possible. Both Principals are setting the standards high for each student. Mrs. Renbarger and Mr. Pennington are truly educational leaders that this community is blessed to have on staff. They are always looking at ways to enhance the teaching styles of each teacher.

The baseball and softball season is over for 7-12 grade. They both made huge gains from the start of the season to the end of the season. We are proud of the effort that each student athlete has put forth.

Our FFA students are doing well. They have competed at several fairs and represent this school and community in an amazing fashion. Our program is in the fourth year and is competing with other programs in all aspects. Remember that the FFA auction is October 10th dinner starts at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria.

Last is that I want to thank all of you that came to Open House and Grandparents Day, what an unbelievable turnout. You, the parents and grandparents, are one of the main reasons that our students are doing so well in school. Thank you for being there for them. This community and school have made sure that students are first and it shows.
